ABC World News Comes to Saratoga County
2012-04-30 - Saratoga County’s recent economic boom stemming from GlobalFoundries was the subject of an ABC News story Monday, part of the show's "Made in America" series on manufacturing.
ABC crews were in Saratoga County on April 4 to tour GlobalFoundries’ more than $4 billion semiconductor facility at Luther Forest Technology Campus in Malta, and the Hudson Valley Community College TEC-SMART facility for semiconductor manufacturing and alternative energy.
Crews also spoke to Ballston Spa Central School District teachers and students, as well as Malta business owners, about emerging technologies and how the computer chip plant has changed the local economy.
