AMBULANCE SERVICE

Ambulance service is provided by 14 emergency corps. All of these squads are staffed by volunteers. The Saratoga County Mobile Radio District, initially implemented in 1974, has increased the capabilities of all police agencies operating within the County. This system allows direct radio communication between mobile units of different police agencies. A county-wide communications system allows radio linkage between the Saratoga Hospital, the Adirondack Regional Hospital, the Sheriff's department and local emergency corps for quicker response times. In addition, 911 is also available in Saratoga County.
